IF HE WERE MERELY A CITIZEN, none of the activities Menendez engages in would be a problem. However, elected
officials answer to a more stringent rule of law than the rest of us-—b/c they hold the power of the purse.
THIRD WORLD MENTALITY Menendez’s Third World mentality keeps surfacing-—anytime Menendez is caught w/ his pants down, he absconds to the Dominican Republic until the furor dies down. The Dominican Republic is infamous for corrupt govt and strong-arm dictators.
Even though US politicans enjoy its amenities and many celebrities vacation there, its impoverished population has no safety net or govt asistance.
US TAX DOLLARS FROM ILLEGALS A MAJOR SOURCE OF DOMINICAN REVENUE About one million Dominican are in the US illegally-—they wire transfer home some one billion per year, which the corrupt Dominican govt considers a major source of state revenue. No wonder Menendez is treated like a potentate once he lands there-—the power of the US govt purse speaks loudly to the corrupt Dominican govt.
MENENDEZ IS DEFINING DEMOCRACY DOWN Senor Bob has been very astute in tarring Republicans—— and labeling all charges agaiinst him as “right-wing”———in order to silence opponents. Menendez needs to remember that, in a democracy, the system of checks and balances prevails. That’s how free governments operate.
People keep asking: “Why don’t we read more about Menendez’s dirty deeds?”
Senor Bob has been very astute in labeling all charges raised as “right-wing.” B/c in liberal/land, “right-wing” is code for horrid things like “religious judgementalism,”
“moral certitude,” “pious negativism”
Protected by self-righteous Democrats, the Obama/Menendez crowd see themselves as a tight-knit clique bound together by “enlightened values” — those of reason, tolerance, diversity, equality.
Remember that Obama campaigned on a “better life, of hope and change.”
To paraphrase their intellectual mentor, author, Saul Alinsky, “They do not have a fixed truth — truth to them is relative and changing..... they are free from the shackles of dogma.” (from his book Rules for Radicals)
Course one might observe all that “reason, tolerance, diversity and equality” sounds an awful lot like the “People’s Temple.” Jim Jones, too, promised a “better life of hope and change” to the diverse crowd that blindly followed him.......to a place from which there was no escape.
