The following is what passes for entertainment on NBC. Saturday Night Live aired this sketch last night just four days into Lent.
The segment was a fake movie trailer depicting a Quentin Tarantino-style Jesus returning to get revenge. Its called, Djesus Uncrossed.
Critics are calling it a less violent Passion of the Christ, the announcer said. I never knew how much Jesus used the N-word.
The trailer featured Jesus and the Apostles gunning down scores of Romans. At one point the Jesus character slices a mans head in half.

“Disgusting. Satanic. Degenerate. Vile.”
Not to the obama voter.
is anyone really surprised?
I haven’t seen the show in a decade at least
I use about 150 GBs of bandwidth a month. Everything works through my wireless router, including the Roku, a all-in-one printer, 3 laptops, 2 kindles, an Ipad (face time is great for staying in touch), an Ipod, and a netduino board. lol
I found out that I could get a 50MB connection for a little extra. That's pretty awesome for this area, considering I'm outside the city a ways. 15MB works fine for me though, even when watching a HD movie or program, and lots of times there can be a half dozen people here, all on the net at the same time.
I just discovered this little device and I'm ordering a set now for a home project I'm working on.
18When the world hates you, remember it hated me before it hated you. 19The world would love you if you belonged to it, but you dont. I chose you to come out of the world, and so it hates you. 20Do you remember what I told you? A servant is not greater than the master. Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they had listened to me, they would listen to you! 21The people of the world will hate you because you belong to me, for they dont know God who sent me. 22They would not be guilty if I had not come and spoken to them. But now they have no excuse for their sin. 23Anyone who hates me hates my Father, too. 24If I hadnt done such miraculous signs among them that no one else could do, they would not be counted guilty. But as it is, they saw all that I did and yet hated both of usme and my Father. 25This has fulfilled what the Scriptures said: they hated me without cause.£
I remember when SNL was less raunchy and used to take both parties to task. I remember a great skit around 2000 about Mark Rich wanting to become the DNC chairman because they’re the party of “stealing money and getting pardoned.” Sadly, around the Bush years it became all about mocking Bush.
It’s sad because pre-2000’s SNL was pretty funny.
.... OMG .... I think Christians all over the world need to begin rising up .... start rioting, pick up their swords and beheading people!! .... oops ... sorry ... never mind .... wrong religion.
You should check out Messianic Odinism...Odin's ravens get the liberals' hacked corpses and Jesus gets their souls (if He wants them) /s
Some of those suckas just ain't worth a millstone...
BTW I ran across an old time movie last night that was really good on YouTube, I liked it a lot...definitelty family approved...Friendly Persuasion with Gary Cooper...a family of Quakers finds their faith and pledge to non-violence tested in the Civil War. First part had me rolling laughing before it got more serious, talked about some issues good for parents to discuss with their kids IMO...5 stars
That was an awful show.
SN what?
I stopped watching their subversive garbage after I read this:

Fat, Drunk, and DEAD is no way to go through life.
Right. SNL, cowards. Do a Mohammed skit.
How unimagitive to mock Christians.
Honestly, I’d rather floss my teeth and trim my toenails on a Saturday night than watch that very unfunny show.
Turning the other cheek as Jesus taught is hard.
Even Parker and Stone the South Park creators have a lot of respect for Mormons and LDS. They wish everyone would be like them.
The LDS church didn’t burn or blow up anything in response to “The Book of Mormon”.
They only issued a statement saying paraphrasing “this play may entertain people for one night but the Book of Mormon has changed people’s lives forever.”
No blown up buildings. The high road.
It was a satirical short film and its target was the violent movies of Tarantino.
Of course one of the keys to cutting edge satire is taking an idea to the extreme. It was supposed to be outrageous.
It was not just a gratuitous attack against Christians and Jesus. In the context of ripping on Revenge Movies, the use of Muhammed would not have made sense.
I can understand why many would find it harsh and heresy. I am simply trying to provide context.
Is your husband a conservative or FReeper? I I know you are because you made this posting.
How can you or your husband watch that crap SNL? I am 59 yrs old, and the last time I watched that socialist, blasphemous crap was in 1978. I hardly watch any TV period, and definitely no libeal MSM partisan hack dribble. I get my news from FR and a couple other conservative websites. Turn off SNL is my recommendation.
I have to admit I rarely watch TV these days - just a few old films, one or two comedies, the occasional quality documentary that somehow manages to slip out.
It wasn’t even much of an original idea ... the original South Park short “Spirit of Christmas” had Jesus and Santa waging an anime-style battle.
Then there was the internet series “Jesus Christ, Super Cop” ...
How's life aboard the boat? I've often thought that's the adobe to have. Would have myself by now, except for my inability to concur the nausea and accompanying side affects when bobbing up and down on the sea.
