I don’t live in New Mexico so I suppose it is none of my business,but if my county started buying back guns I would be deeply offended that they were pissing away my tax money on junk weapons.
I don’t pay taxes so some whack-off can us it to buy junk.
If they want to let people walk into the Sherrifs office and turn in a gun that’s fine, but buying guns with my tax money so they can destroy them is just plain crazy. If they can buy guns I have an old car I would be glad to sell them so they can junk it.
if people were dropping old washing machines on others, these places would be doing washer buybacks instead of charging us to get rid of them in city garbage/recycling centers.
