I was a perpetual target for harassment by the police simply because of the car a drove. A classic, but 20 years older than I was.

I had a '57 Chevy, 283 cu in, with domed heads, power pack and AFB High Performance carburetor. I was only stopped once. The cop told me to drive the car, not point it and sent me on my way. I now have a couple of Vettes, a Mustang GT and a few other fast looking cars and I've not been stopped in any of them.

The attitude that "they can do no wrong"?

As opposed to the attitude "they do everything wrong"?
