I doubt many people who know me in real life would call me clueless, either.
I think I’m about done with this site after 7 years. Like any good bar that goes sour, it’s not the ownership that’s to blame, it’s the crowd of regulars who’ve moved in. Plenty of good ones here, but too many who’d prefer to call other FReepers names. Don’t care if you’re polite or not, you’re an asshat. I suggest you come up for air once in awhile for your health.

Oh, take a pill and chill. You’re okay, and normally a good contributor. Everybody here gets beat up once in awhile. You just have to be careful about mischaracterizing Reagan, Rush, and a few others. But especially Reagan and Rush. It’s not that they’re completely above criticism - - you just have to be dead sure about what you post and make sure it’s not something a scumbag Democrat would say or agree with.

Rush Limbaugh is hardly the problem with GOP electoral politics. And if you;’re looking for anyone who convinces people to vote GOP, I’m not sure who the Cupp types want us to emulate other than Rush — in fact, I’d argue there is no one in my lifetime who has moved votes rightward more than Rush Limbaugh.
You’re never going to find someone you agree with 100% of the time. Particularly if you talk 3 hours a day to a national audience, you’re going to say things to criticize. But day in, day out, across a wide variety of issues, Rush is the most reliable voice I’ve ever heard, in articulating the conservative view.
If conservatism means small government, low taxes, individual liberty, then Rush has earned his respect, objectively, and anyone else who wants to tweak his approach has about 25 years of hard work before they earn the right to tell him how to do it.
I’m a fan, as you can see, and don’t mind saying so. These other people come and go.
