Yes. But being right isn't enough. You have to be able to convince people that what they've heard all their lives from gradeschool on through adulthood is WRONG. Just vilifying the opposition isn't enough (even when you're dead right).

If you want a real spokesman, read P.J. O'Rourke. He predated Rush by at least half-a-decade and does a much better job of easing people into conservatism.

I think Rush is too much of a nice guy for these types, he’ll brush it off and move on. I’d like to see them try to go after Michael Savage, but they won’t because they know they’d be walking funny once he got done with them.

P.J. O'Rourke? Oh yeah, writer guy, right? Steve Allen-type humor only without the piano? Shows up most often these days in the NYT, Atlantic and on NPR game shows??

Didn't he co-author something with Woodrow Wilson? Or was it Flip?
