The are getting a refund from what I heard. Just shows how stupid most people are. You go out into the middle of the ocean on a ship and then act surprised when this happens.
Imagine living in a densely packed “eco” city when the power goes out. Yep, something like this.
Being aboard any ship is like being in prison with a risk of drowning.
Price $420 Million in 1999
reports of passengers “hoarding”
I hope this bankrupts the Heat owner so he has to sell the team.
I’m gonna guess that the only way you will get these passengers on another cruise, especially a Carnival cruise, is to give them a free trip. A 15% discount implies that these people would spend their money again with Carnival. I doubt it.
Carnival has long been a poorly rated cruise line. I hope the southern ports will get the message & stop hosting these pig boat cruises.
If you base your buying decisions based solely on price you takes yer chances.
As soon as I heard about it, I thought, why not get some other boats out there to remove the folks and get them on some sort of land? I don't get it. Probably learn more about it on Opra.
hmmm... hoarding what I wonder. There are poverty stricken people living under tyrannical/dictatorial rule like this 365 days 24/7 all over the world and for them there is no port in sight. How does the media feel about them?
The smell of that boat will be with them for years! Who is going to get on a bus for a long trip to N.O. or Galveston after their experience? I want A SHOWER NOW and a proper meal if I can get this smell out of my nose!
I’ve never figured out why people pay to get on those things anyway.
>>>reports of passengers hoarding<<<
One man’s hoarder is another man’s prepper.
The MSM doesn’t feel anything about them apparently. Once the revolutions are complete, their subjects/prisoners seem to become irrelevant
I’ve been on a half dozen cruises and enjoyed them all.
Like any transportation medium, problems do arise.
Cruise ships are the preferred vacation choice for people who hang out in shopping malls.
>>>Ive never figured out why people pay to get on those things anyway.<<<
I’ve been on four Princess cruises and they were awesome. It’s a handy way to see a number of different places without having to pack up and go to the airport every time you want to go someplace else. It’s also a boatload less hassle than an airplane for international travel. You don’t get anywhere near the hassle from Customs getting off of a ship as you do on a plane.
It is not for everyone just the same as going hog hunting isn’t for me but I don’t begrudge the people who enjoy it.
Plus....credit for another cruise, a hotel room and/or airfare home upon debarking ship, as well as $500 cash. Some passengers reached were not complaining, despite having to leave their #2's in a plastic bag outside their stateroom, since the cruise ship opened up the liquor cabinets a few days ago and they have been dining on crab & lobster for days. I guess that's making the best of a crappy situation!
