Interesting thread just to read the comments from the “burn him alive” crowd. The “usual nuke mecca” types. I don’t have much sympathy for this cop killer but disdain how he was executed. There are more human ways to kill someone than burning them alive FCOL.

I can somewhat see both sides.

Frankly, this whole drama has puzzled me from the start.

It wouldn't be all that difficult for his manifesto/internet postings to have been altered or even fabricated completely. Absent that, everything we supposedly know about this guy comes from the mouth of LAPD - an organization that certainly has historical credibility problems, and was accused of corruption by Dorner.

It also bothers me that a guy with his military and police background would suddenly act completely against his training and presumed ethics. He supposedly kills some innocents to make a point, but then spares others that would have made tactical sense to eliminate.

We get reports his wallet and IDs are found near the Mexican border, then find out that he thoughtfully removed his fireproof driver's license (why? in case he gets pulled over?) so his body can be conveniently identified later.

One day, he's a master tactician armed with detailed knowledge of police procedure, the next, he bungles into a checkpoint (something he should have and could have easily avoided), going "somewhere" apparently without a plan or supplies, and gets burned alive in a cabin alone because it was somehow too dangerous to have him surrounded and isolated.

Admittedly, I probably don't know all the facts, despite my effort, but I just think something about this whole story doesn't smell right.
