That’s silly. That’s like solving obesity by buying up all potato chips and other fattening food.
Shelves are empty because people are buying everything on them.
The big deal about printing magazines is that government is trying to ban them. Even if reduced to single shot guns there will still be a supply of ammunition.

Been checking a LOT of sites to see what they have in stock/on hand.
All the #7.5 or #8 shot 12g birdshot shells you could want.
NO .22, .357, .45, 9mm...
.223 or 7.62x39 or 7.62x51...fuhgeddaboutit!
Some odd caliber rifle ammo, elephant/safari stuff!
Some .380, .40...at least thats what I've seen.
Wallyworld-bare shelves.
Every place I check, there are 2-3 people there looking for ammo.
