RUSH: No, no, just depressed. I really am, and I probably shouldn't admit this. I mean, as the last surviving pope, I ought not even admit that, but I gotta be honest with you. Does anybody want to watch this tonight? Does anybody really want to watch? You know what this is gonna be tonight? This is gonna be the Misstatement of the Union. It's not the State of the Union. It's the Misstatement of the Union. And you know what we're gonna see? It's an absurd sight, folks, to sit there and watch our government stand and applaud itself as it's ruining our economy.
They're gonna sit there and applaud themselves all night long, and for what? Ruining the country, bringing the private sector to its knees, exploding the deficit, Obamacare, bye-bye freedom here, bye-bye freedom there. And we're gonna have all kinds of guests sitting up there next to Michelle Obama. I'm depressed because the Apple CEO is gonna be there. I know. I know. You don't have to tell me. I know why the Apple CEO, I'll guarantee you -- well, I can't guarantee you, but my wild guess is that the Apple CEO has been invited to sit next to Moochelle or to sit close to her because Apple has announced that they're gonna start building a product in America this year. So Obama can point to that and talk about how he is bringing jobs back to America, while jobs are being destroyed.
But I know what's gonna be said before it's said, and it's gonna be galling. It's not so much what we're gonna hear, because we know that. It's the sight. It's the optics of these guys standing and applauding themselves, our government applauding itself while it's in the midst of wreaking havoc.
Now, Drudge just posted a story. You know, more and more people are starting to speak out very softly and not all that frequently, but it's starting to happen. This is an ABC News story: "Fort Hood Hero Says Obama 'Betrayed' Her, Other Victims -- Soldiers denied Purple Heart, other benefits after military classifies shooting as workplace violence.
"Three years after the White House arranged a hero's welcome at the State of the Union address for the Fort Hood police sergeant and her partner who stopped the deadly shooting there, Kimberly Munley says President Obama broke the promise he made to her that the victims would be well taken care of. 'Betrayed is a good word,' former Sgt. Munley told ABC News in a tearful interview to be broadcast tonight on World News with Diane Sawyer and Nightline. 'Not to the least little bit have the victims been taken care of,' she said. 'In fact they've been neglected.' There was no immediate comment from the White House about Munley's allegations."

I agree completely!
Neither have I. As a matter of fact I always hit the mute button on my remote control. I plan to watch the Westminster Dog show, but will check of and on to see if he is still on or not, so I can watch both Senators Rubio and Paul give the rebuttals. I just hope Fox News carries them both
Im already planning on using it.
Im already planning on using it.
“Young Guns” is on CMT. There are some “Happy Days” reruns on. “Criminal Minds” is on a couple of channels. I was hoping “Psyche” might be on. I suppose I could finally watch those “Incredible Dr. Pol” episodes I DVRd. I’d rather watch him stick his arm up a cow’s arse than listen to 0bamugabe ream America’s.
I would not be surprised if this will be the least watched SOTU address in modern history
Id rather bikini wax a wolverine.
It's a date!
State of the Union: President Reagan's State of the Union Speech - 1/26/82
If someone assured me that the entire assembly would be vaporized when little barry bastard boy tells his first lie, THEN I would turn it on for the very short program.
Sorry, litterbox needs cleaned.
Big 10 Basketball #4 Michigan vs #8 Michigan St.
'Cuz the Honey Badger don't care...
Could the Honey Badger care less about the SOTU address than we do?
Watching the Westminister Dog Show. I have no time to watch an imperious quisling
I won’t watch it. Furthermore, I have a new policy that has made my evenings much more pleasant. I watch NBC national news (mostly for observing how they skew the news), but I turn it off immediately if any moving image of Obama lying is shown.
A photo, or any reporting of the lies, I can stomach.
“4 cats - litterbox cleaning time again! Yay! Will listen to Rush tomorrow to hear what 0 said.”
You will still have to deal with less #$%$ that way.
I didn’t watch it. I did laundry and watched a hockey game.
I’m just overwhelmed by the self-righteous tone of most of his speeches.
I’m just diasppointed at watching the post-speech analysis where the MSM all but trips over themsel;ves to sing Obama’s praises.
