Police have arrested a man in connection with the burglary and vandalism of a south Nashville mosque early Monday morning.
Police took 27-year-old Kyler A. Wilson into custody around 7 a.m. after they found him sleeping in only his boxer shorts inside a vehicle outside a business on 2nd Avenue South. Police believe he was the man that broke into the Al-Farooq Islamic Center on 4th Avenue South around 3:30 a.m. Monday.
A cabbie told police he was driving by the center, and noticed a parked vehicle with a door open, and a man wearing only boxer shorts insdie. He stopped, and the man told him that "he needed his space," and fled the scene on foot.
The cab driver then noticed that the building had suffered damage. Several windows were broken, and items inside, including tables, a vending machine, microwave, and water cooler, had been overturned. Two hearses in the parking lot also had their windshields broken.
"He went through a window, went inside, and demolished everything inside," said member Hassam Mohamed.

No such luck. Instead, they're getting a lot of support from the local "infidel" idiots - several of whom showed up for evening prayers.
Made me want to heave.
Kyler will do some hard time for this escapade.
Yes, he will. They have to make an example of him.
When I heard about this early this morning, I was hoping they wouldn’t catch whoever did it.
Dang his luck.
It almost renders useless the sacrifice of a generation of Americans who spilled their blood and guts to free Europeans from one form of fascism only to see it replaced with another.
Yes, it does.
And seeing all the fools who rush in to “show their support for the poor, misunderstood muslims” makes me nauseous.
And furious.
