As I read through this entire thread, your are the only one I see who has commented about the role of Congress in this. Last time I checked, the House still controls the purse strings. Yet, I've heard not a word about this Republican House refusing to fund this thing. Why is that?

As I read through this entire thread, your are the only one I see who has commented about the role of Congress in this. Last time I checked, the House still controls the purse strings. Yet, I've heard not a word about this Republican House refusing to fund this thing. Why is that? Because, unlike most spending bills, Obamacare was pre-authorized and pre-funded all the way through final implementation by the initial act.
The current House cannot de-fund Obamacare unless and until the Senate also acts to withdraw the funding. And, even then, such a withdrawal of funding could be vetoed by the President.
Fat chance, huh?
We lost our chance to repeal Obamacare when we failed to win the presidency and a majority in the Senate.

On the way into work this am, I got behind a car that had a bumper sticker that read “I love Obamacare”. I wonder how much he would love it if he took the time to find out just some of the details. The sticker made me sick.
