Nope. The studies I’ve seen indicate homes in an HOA sell for the same price as homes without, when controlled for region, age and style. At least here in Arizona, I’ve NEVER seen an ad boasting about having an HOA.

I posit only that NEW lots or homes sell for a higher price with a HOA, because those in the business of creating HOAs are in the business of maximizing values.

A study might very well fail to find any long-term benefit.
