Dorner manhunt leads LAPD to Lowe's store in Northridge

The manhunt for Christopher Dorner led LAPD SWAT officers to a Northridge Lowe's home improvement store after people reported seeing someone who resembled the fugitive former police officer there.

LAPD swarmed the store off Nordhoff Street about 5 p.m. Customers were escorted out of the store as police looked for any signs of Dorner.

LAPD stressed that it was an unconfirmed sighting.

There have been several reports similar to this one in recent days that didn't pan out.

I went to CSUN and my brother has a house in Northridge so that used to be my old stompin ground and your right..around Nordoff and Corbin there are a lot of black dudes..what are they going to do, respond to every single report of a fat black dude walking around..last night I was at The Grove and I saw a dude that looked like him too but I figured Dorner wouldn’t be out having dinner at Maggianos LOL

And that is exactly how everyone see's dorner - a bulky bald black fellow. In fact, some posts that I have read on other sites perceive him as a Giant of a man. Although in the photo taken at the ATM, he still had a stocky look to him. Under the stress that he must be under by staying in the shadows (wherever that is), it is very likely that he is losing quite a bit of weight. Being around 6'0" tall, it wouldn't take long for him to trim down to the size of his Navy photo. Looks to be under 200 lbs there. My point is that if not found soon, the Giant of a man they are looking for could very soon become the Average guy and blend in much more easily. Just a thought - I am sure this has been considered by LAPD and others. As far as the bald part - that is a no brainer.
