The same standard? Don't they have more training? Aren't they more knowledgeable in the law? Are they not selected as the best of the best from a host of applicants? Do they not have abundant day-to-day exposure to complex and potentially dangerous situations and the skills to handle them?

Should they be no smarter, wiser, more knowledgeable, more skilled and more responsible than, say the kid that stocks the shelves at the corner grocery?

No, my FRiend, they must be held to a higher standard, unless they expect to be paid stock clerk wages, and have a stock clerk's benefits package, and expect everyone to hold them in the same high regard as a stock clerk, if they do, they rate the same standards.

They want more? We expect and deserve more.
