Actually my comment was directed at people like you who find a new superstar every couple of weeks and suggest that they be president based on one speech.

The talent pool of effective and credible advocates of conservatism is distressingly thin at the moment.

Next week he might turn around and suggest that we ban guns.

Or maybe he has a bimbo problem? Or maybe he just doesn't want to get too close to the hot kitchen (not that operating rooms are hot or anything)? Who knows?

His speech should be taken for what it is. If the speech maker should volunteer for further service, then we should seriously consider!

He doesn’t have a bimbo problem that I’ve ever heard of( Baltimore isnt a very big city)... He does however have a very intense full time job, and runs a charity with his wife.

Who knows what exactly he will do in the future once he retires... He certainly has been one of the most successful pediatric brain surgeons in the country.

That said, his speech was terrific!
And in many ways ANTI political... his most cogent point was when he described how 5 signers of the Declaration were Doctors and how WE need more professions to get involved in Government than just lawyers.
Particularly as Carson pointed out, a lawyers mission is to win at all costs... and as we have seen, lawyers on the right and left have alienated EVERYONE.
