The WP article identifies Roger as deeply involved in the Osama bin Laden operation, but as not being present in the White House situation room for the event -- instead remaining in the CIA's operations center.
Meanwhile, the Wikipedia bio has a photo showing Brennan (standing, 2nd from right) present in the White House situation room.
Evidently, Roger is not Brennan.
So the Council on Foreign Relations source couldn’t have altered enough details to provide cover while retaining the same main points?
If ‘Roger’ was to be casually identified, his real name would have been used so details could be conclusively verified.
