A mob stripped, bound, tortured then burned to death a woman accused of witchcraft in Papua New Guinea, as hundreds of witnesses including children watched and took photographs.
The pictures were published on the front pages of the Oceania nations largest circulation newspapers, Associated Press reports.

I’m glad for my 10 greats-grandmother’s sake that she was hanged, and not tortured and beaten and burned, although being confined in damp prison cell for months may have made up for some of that.
