Call Obama’s Sequester Bluff: The sequester was the president’s idea. He has to own it.

I agree with Charles, and we all know how the media will spin it anyway.

You are right of course. If the media could convince most voters that the crappy economy is still Bush’s fault, they can convince them of nearly anything else as well.

What planet are you on, Charles? Obama doesn’t have to own anything.

The only problem is that the Republicrats, ( or Dimocans, if you will ) will once again cave.

Clarified the stand-off situation well.

(The Democrats spend so much time muddying the water, it’s easy to get lost in the rhetoric.)

The Republicans probably won’t take Charles’s advice, though, and will cave to the media pressure.

Of course, the sequester is terrible policy.

It must be driven home that this is Øbongo's plan - he owns it, and he should choke on it.

I heard MN Rep. John Kline on the radio this morning...he didn’t sound like caving was an option in the House.

The Republicans finally have leverage. They should use it.

ROTFLMAO!

These are not cuts. They are reductions inn the rate of increase. Spending will continue to go up.

I agree with this 100%!!!! This point has to be driven home by any and all Republicans that get in front of a camera. Keep it simple. This is Obummer's idea, he owns it. Without muddying the waters too much, they also need to drive home the point that the Republicans have offered alternatives to this that have been rejected by the democRAT Senate and the President. I wouldn't even use the term "White House". Too impersonal. The time for "nice" is over. It has been rejected by THE PRESIDENT!

Exactly! Rush laid it out really good on one of his shows this past week. That is anything "talking point" that the Republicans need to drive home.

Is there any way of getting rid of "baseline budgeting"? This is really a huge problem over time.

It will be interesting to see how the mainstream media sycophants spin this little standoff. I’m sure they are in their war rooms right now with White Hut personnel trying to come up with a strategy to blame this on the Republicans.

Psychology 101

If you start with a cage containing five monkeys and inside the cage, hang a banana on a string from the top and then you place a set of stairs under the banana, before long a monkey will go to the stairs and climb toward the banana.

As soon as he touches the stairs, you spray all the other monkeys with cold water.

After a while another monkey makes an attempt with same result ...all the other monkeys are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon when another monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it.

Now, put the cold water away.

Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one. The new monkey sees the banana and attempts to climb the stairs. To his shock, all of the other monkeys beat the crap out of him. After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs he will be assaulted.

Next, remove another of the original five monkeys, replacing it with a new one.

The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment....... with enthusiasm, because he is now part of the “team”.

Then, replace a third original monkey with a new one, followed by the fourth, then the fifth. Every time the newest monkey takes to the stairs he is attacked.

Now, the monkeys that are beating him up have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs. Neither do they know why they are participating in the beating of the newest monkey.

Finally, having replaced all of the original monkeys, none of the remaining monkeys will have ever been sprayed with cold water...Nevertheless, not one of the monkeys will try to climb the stairway for the banana.

Why, you ask? Because in their minds...that is the way it has always been!

This, my friends, is how Government operates... and this is why, from time to time:

Maybe ALL of the monkeys in the Congress, Senate and the White House need to be REPLACED AT THE SAME TIME.

Our system specifically prevents that and it is to our benefit. Imagine an Obama landslide that gave him and his party 100% control over government. What would stop them between then and the next election?

I recognize your frustration and agree with your sentiments, but let’s trust our Founders. The DOD can afford the sequestration cuts. Panetta’s lying and he’s a part of Obama’s team.

Feels like a cut in my world. My husband has served in 3 wars and retired to DoD civil servant position consulting all things on A10. He and tens of thousands have to begin in March take one furlough day off a week for remainder of year. Loss of over $1000 a month in pay

Great example.

In the UK there are people whose families have been on the dole for three generations.

The youngest generation, with this heritage and example, no more understand the work ethic than the man on the moon. They have no idea that they could and should do better, no shame, no expectations, no ambition.

This transformation is already well underway in our blue inner cities.

It is a sin to balance the budget on the backs of seniors children and those most deserving. Define deserving? So while Americans standby and wait for a man that has been incompetence on display the government will attempt to balance the budget on the backs of our military. Sure college is great and yes there is a chance some great leaders will rise up out of those liberal classrooms, but it is in the military were boys become men.

It really doesn’t matter whose idea it was. Even if Obama came up with the idea, the Republicans will be blamed. We on the right literally have no representation in the media these days.... other than a few under-appreciated and often demonized and ridiculed talk show hosts on the right.... and their message only gets across to those that choose to listen. Unless or until that changes, we’re pretty much screwed IMO.

Establishment GOPers and right-wingers, RINOs and even some conservatives will never hear their message and ergo, become acquainted with the truth. That’s why we need to support and help what few media reps we on the right do have...while we still have them. And since they are being targeted even moreso now by the Obama regime, we may not have those few voices of ‘conservative reason and truth’ for much longer.....especially without the support of ALL of us on the right.
