Exactly. And when supermarkets inevitably remove the “food service” items made in store like the soup bar, salad bar, hot foods by the pound, pizzas, etc. and switch to pre-packaged items you can bet the left will be whining about the lack of fresh food.

This is a huge profit point for our local organic *co-ops*. The food bar/deli area becomes a hang out with tables, there are several jobs tied to the service and, of course, it allows the market to reduce wastage.

These places all accept EBT, too.

As far as I can tell, the regular grocery stores that have prepared food already have nutritional labels posted. Packaged foods, like take and bake pizza, also have nutritional labels. Not sure how the by-the-pound items will be labeled. Sounds like a PITA.
