I don’t live in Missouri so I didn’t have a dog in this hunt. But you are suggesting that others who saw Akin for the train wreck that he was were responsible for his loss is just nuts! You are in effect saying, the Republicans should have doubled down on a moron rather than trying to get him to leave the race and get someone who could win! Must be a lot of Koolaid in that part of the country!
I am saying that anyone stupid enough to tank a person with his vote record over an asinine comment deserves every ounce of the pain they get for their efforts.
Unfortunately the rest of us suffer for it as well. You coulda had him in there, chastised. silent and solidly voting conservative, as his record showed he would.
Instead, people WILLINGLY got on board the ‘help GOP kill off conservatism’ train and now they haZ a sad because the train pulled into the station.
