Guys like Akin wouldn’t be a problem without guys like Rove running to the sound of fire to start shooting at them.

Exactly. And there are plenty of people who still don't get that. All anybody with half a brain has to do to fully understand this is look at what the media did to Palin during the 2008 election and ever since, and how morons like Rove jumped on that bandwagon with a fervor that should be reserved for enemies, not allies. But then again, a lot of Republicans AND Freepers are not particularly principled.

You Akin Kool Aiders are showing yourselves for fools, and gimme a break, 99% of the anti Akin people are also anti Rove. Comparing him to Palin is breathtakinly out of kilter.

Rove is almost always wrong, but Akin was an arrogant stupid fool who beat two good conservatives in the primary on the strength of liberal votes who knew he was too pathetic to beat McCaskill. Akin is a six term congressman, and anyone who falls for his big “outsider” kick is just foolish.
