These are several silver linings to this OMG!!! 'event'...the ground in most of New England is bare...if this was coming down on a three-foot snowpack, then you might have something to worry about. Much reduced risk of a roof collapsing...it is hitting us on the weekend...much less traffic on the roads, enabling plows and utility trucks to get around without being delayed by traffic accidents and encumbered by disabled/abandoned vehicles. Temperatures will be well above freezing for a spell on the back side of this storm...

Enjoy the weekend...stay inside, have a few beers, and road crews will have you all ready to get back to work on Monday.

Yes, bare ground here. Our rickety power infrastructure is really my only concern.

I work from home, so I can roll out of bed Monday morning and be at work. So long as there is power.

Got some liquid bread and fermented grape juice, so I should be good.
