Last year, Rep. Adam Smith of Washington state, the top Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee, introduced legislation that would extend same-sex benefits to spouses of veterans and service members. He argued that with gays serving openly in the military, their spouses should receive the same benefits.

Under his measure, the Defense Department and Veterans Affairs Department would have to recognize any marriage that has been recognized by a state, the District of Columbia, commonwealths or territories. Nine states and the District of Columbia now allow gay and lesbian couples to marry.

"Building on the repeal of 'don't ask, don't tell,' this is another big step toward full equality in the military. No individual should be deprived of the benefits they have earned simply because of who they have married," Smith said Tuesday.

And that's how these deceivers operate, regardless of the specifics of a particular agenda.

1) Frame (twist, distort, pervert) reality to make the deviant/perp into the victim
2) Invent a "simple" reason for the supposed victimization of the duplicitous perp, the more irrational/unfair/sexist/racist/intolerant/Neanderthal it can be made to look, the better.
3) Attack the victim by making it look like self-defense.

By the time 1) and 2) have been set in place, the bystanders will take the side of and/or help the vicious POS, smug in their conviction that it is the right and proper thing to do.

Those who have been the target of a conniving sociopathic relative, spouse, neighbor, coworker, and/or state agent recognize the pattern of this destructive gotcha! game.

These nasty players set up the playing field to control both goalposts. If they can't kick their victims into the goal labeled "the silent and submissive", they've got the other one marked "outcast, misfit, buffoon, pariah, intolerant freak, hater..."

The only way on *that* playing field to avoid both goals is to end up exhausted and demoralized from being relentlessly pursued, or to end up being kicked or stomped to death. Totalitarians kill their millions this way.

Anyone remember "Addams Family Values"? Normal decent Americans are now the outcasts of Camp Chippewa. (There are obviously much more serious parallels in history or film, but I figured I'd provide a ray of hope and sunshine here.)

Funny how winning the war and bringing our troops home with the honor and dignity they deserve is NEVER, EVER a priority for Obama and his thugs isn’t it ?
