In September of last year, Jack Cashill reported for World Net Daily that in the introduction to an Internet talk radio show interview with American Black Muslim attorney Khalid al-Mansour, the host "openly acknowledged that al-Mansour 'made news in 2008 when it was revealed that he had been a patron of President Barack Obama and had recommended him for admission to Harvard Law School.'"

Previously, as also reported by Cashill, longtime New York political insider Percy Sutton described from personal knowledge that Arab funding was obtained for Obama to attend Harvard Law through al-Mansour, who was "'the principal adviser to one of the world’s richest men.'
