Remember, be it Catholic, Protestant, or Othordox, because of One Lord, one faith, one baptism, we are CHRISTIANS

Sorry, but I disagree. It's a thread for another day but I was raised as a Catholic and was constantly around them, yet never saw Christ in any of them. Wasn't til late in life til I met Christians I'd compare to Tim Tebow who actually walked the walk and were genuine witnesses to Christ. And my reading of the Bible has only reinforced those beliefs. Baffling to me how Catholics think a baby who has no idea what is happening can give himself to Christ in baptism. Sportswise, I'm a big soccer fan and most players cross themselves after scoring. The same players who have kids and girlfriends but no wives. And tonight lipreading did no favors to anyone who wanted to brag about the Harbaugh brothers following Christ. Just a question to tuck in the back of your mind but what do you think would happen to you one day if you decided that you only wanted to follow Christ and didn't need the Pope and all the controversy of the Catholic church for that. Would the Christ that you follow abandon you?

The reason why babies are baptized is that the practice does go back to the days when the apostles did baptized whole families, and that included little babies in the household.
What I had posted about “one Lord, one faith, one baptism” is from Paul. No matter what branches of the family tree we call the Christian faith, it is by our common baptism in Christ and that baptism invokes the Trintiy.
