IMHO...44 is gonna use things like Fienstien’s bill dying in committee and more and more states passing legislation to not enforce his recent EO’s as an excuse to make a blatant gun grab by fiat.
Something along the lines of:
“Since Congress has failed to act...and since states are REFUSING to act...I’ve been left with no choice but to sign an Executive Order here by stopping all sales distribution and manufacturing of the types of weapons listed in Senator Fienstien’s legislation. In addition, I am requesting that Homeland Security aid local law enforcement in the collection of these same types of weapons from the people that own them. The safety of our children can not and will not be hindered by antiquated and time wasting debates about the 2nd Amendment and the Constitution.”

Martin Dempsey is the weasel?
Yes. That little weasel is everywhere!
Here's how it went down, "Panettas backing of Hagel was seconded by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen Martin Dempsey, who said in helping prepare him for his confirmation hearings, we had several opportunities to talk about strategy. And I found him well-prepared and very thoughtful about it.
Well, considering the source, Dempsey probably DID think Hagel was well-prepared.

This is amazing stuff here TX great catch!
We have one of these balloons down here. We call it Fat Albert.
It is used to monitor stuff coming in from Cuba and elsewhere in the Caribbean. If it goes down zero will be leaving us wide open to terrorism and almost unlimited drug smuggling. That's probably what it's all about.
We are under attack from within. Hard to say how many times we have to point it out.

Pretty much. She’s done talking about/explaining it. Rand Paul was right - she should have been fired (along with plenty other folks, it seems).

http://www.libertycaucus.net/forum/index.php?topic=113.0 Meanwhile on the Obmacare front I stumbled across this courtesy of another Freeper via Freepmail.
I didn't realize this happened at the time but its a true blockbuster!
The link above documents how Justice Roberts was probably blackmailed into declaring obmacare a tax when he knew it was illegal all the while
Seems Roberts adopted or basically “bought” two kids from Ireland, claiming they came from Central America. The story got out and he got caught.
Its likely that he was blackmailed about what he did and he chose to screw 300 million of us by legitimizing obamacare so he could keep the two kids he basically bought from a woman in Ireland.
If its all true its strange at best.
If many of you already knew about it forgive my naivete,I'm just learning about it now.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and many friends of former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle tonight. Todd and I first met Chris in Pella, Iowa, when he helped out with security for the premiere of the film The Undefeated. And later we became friends with Chris when he was on Stars Earn Stripes with Todd. Chris was a wonderful man, a good friend, and a true American hero who loved our country and served honorably. He was loved and admired by so many, and he will never be forgotten.”

This is a very nice springboard for Mark Kelly as he uses his wife to break into politics.
Apparently when he resigned from NASA he was asked if he’d be getting into politics maybe to run for Kyl’s seat (Flake has it now) or something else in AZ. He said he wasn’t looking at running for anything, but he didn’t rule it out.

Nothing was mentioned about this being due to sequestration.
And quite frankly I doubt it’s related.
It’s just another bit of appeasement for the open borders crowd...just like stopping construction of the border fence was.

I just heard Dingy Harry talking to Stepinawfulpiss:
He owns lots of guns.
He used to be a police officer and carried a gun (scary)
His father shot himself (suicide)
Refused to disparage the NRA and supports 2A.
I want to see that transcript, both for Stepinawfulpiss’s asinine remarks, and also for parsing purposes.
What a buncha crap.

WOW, that
exchange between Wallace and LaPierre WAS "explosive". I don't normally criticize Wallace, but he was an extremely poor journalist this morning. It was obvious he was vested in more gun-control and was anti-NRA.
First he questions if LaPierre regrets running this ad. Wallace is hinging his argument on the fact that obama's children are more of a target than yours or mine or your neighbors. Now granted, but LaPierre makes the point that all parents want their children to be safer than they are from the "crazies". Police won't be able to get their in time. Wallace counters that let's say we get armed guards in schools, then what about the malls, theaters, etc? (lololol - well, hey, wouldn't that make us want to have MORE responsible people carrying, not less?)
Then he goes on to attack LaPierre accusing him for throwing "class" into his argument when he says elites are hypocrites because they have armed protection but don't want the regular joes to have guns/AR15's.
Wallace just keeps attacking noting that LaPierre has his own set of bodyguards. (so! He should!). La Pierre says it is fine for people - rich, elite - to have bodyguards, but it's THEY, not LaPierre, who don't want others to have their own personal security.
I give Wallace an F, no a Z, for his logic in his debate with La Pierre this morning. He made it personal, and he failed to be a good interviewer. Thanks for the link, TomGuy.

...and has no armed bodyguards.

I hadn't even thought of that angle until Fishtalk, and now you, mentioned it. Thanks for the additional info on that.
I have grown weary of all these folks who get into public "service" positions for all the wrong reasons, just as I have grown weary of all the lazy thinkers who vote them in.

Right on, Girlene. I wanted to reach into the TV and do bodily harm to Wallace. What a lame thing for him to say, “What about the malls but but what about the theaters?” They shouldn’t be advertizing “Gun Free Zones” and then they wouldn’t be a shooters paradise.
