A 9-year-old boy was clinging to life after a callous teen neighbor chucked him off the roof of their five-story Bronx apartment building, cops said Saturday.
The young boy, Freddy Martin, cried for his mother as soon as he landed on the cold concrete sidewalk in front of the Nelson Ave. building in Morris Heights about 8:30 p.m. Friday, neighbors said.
Mommy! Mommy! the bloodied child wailed as he lay on the ground, unable to move.

Do we know if the boy is still alive?
This does raise a very valid question of how much crime is ‘gotten away with’ because the victim dies and everyone is too afraid to ‘snitch.’
I tried Googling the names in question and it appeared that all the stories were based on what was reported on Saturday, so I don’t know how the 9-year-old is doing.
THANKS for checking. Poor kid (and family). Let’s assume ‘no news is good news’ and that he’s just being well cared for and carefully monitored at the hospital. IIRC they sent him to Columbia Presbyterian, one of NYC’s better hospitals and relatively close to where they live?
