You can bet that a lot of the new members are democrat Obama voters. They bought the first term B.S. about no gun bans, until DiFi opened her mouth.
It's a shame they're such slow learners but they're catching on now.

I think Wayne LaPierre and the NRA have been maintaining a “middle of the road” approach. I mean, they endorsed Dingy Harry, for cryin’ out loud.
This issue, however, has encouraged them to draw a hard line in the sand. They are, first and foremost, an advocate of the second amendment. They seem to be hardening their stance.
But you’re right - they could use a better spokesman. Like Sheriff Mack or Judge Napolitano. Somebody that understands freedom and understands how the various original amendments fit together to enumerate our natural rights and freedoms.

The did not endorse dingy Harry...they endorsed no one in that race...which pissed me off that they didn’t endorse dingy’s opponent.
The NRA have a cozy relationship with dingy harry but they got so much grief when it looked like they were going to endorse, they wisely backed off.

My mistake - I thought that they had, but it turns out that they did not endorse Reid.
