You seem to want some kind of linearity, and I'm afraid the development of species is somewhat more complicated - convergence and divergence, the eradication of populations, and the isolation of populations confound history. Of course Darwin recognized problems with his theory - if you could point me to specifics, perhaps I could address them.

Thank you, I have been told there is no link that can be shown definitively between Pre-Cambrian life forms and Cambrian fully formed animals...is that true?
