Well, my grandmother on my father’s side was a Plott
from North Carolina and I always wanted one so when
one came up I grabbed him.
A beautiful brindle colored hound, he rode everywhere
with me.

I went to the Coon Dog cemetary over by Tuscumbia Miss.
once, way off the beaten track but well worth it.
Lots of Coon Champions buried there and other hounds too.
At the entrance is a statue of a coon up a tree with a
baying hound at the base. Most of the tombstones have
the dogs collars tied to them, a very quiet and peaceful
place. Wish I could have taken trooper there but we
buried him next to several other dogs so he wasn’t alone.

I would love to go to that coon cemetery. I love hounds. As much as I love the Dandies, I think I will rescue a dog next time and have a Dandie.
