I see repentant prayer as the only way America will be saved. What i feel is that this was the generation that basically threw out God, demanded free-sex and eventually the total breakdown of all societal norms. It has never repented of that, but instead, is very proud that it broke the dam. The 60s radicals, for the most part, went underground to do their greatest harm. They emerged in academia and places that make policy. They have taken over the “high places” and even much of religion is tempered by their beliefs instead of true orthodoxy. So much so that many do not recognize it because it is so ingrained into our religious practice that we now feel it IS truth.

I recall that when Josiah, who became king of Israel at the age of 8, turned 16 and after having been shown the Scriptures, was so struck by how far the nation had departed from them that he called for fasting and repentant prayer. The nation stood for days for the reading/hearing of the Word and the nation repented. Of course, it did not last past his rule, as the nation turned away again. We have not seen a true revival for over 100 years in America. We have had a few presidents invoke prayer at times, but never to fall on our knees before God and seek His mercy through repentance. When you read the polls by Barna and others, about Christianity, there is still a large number of professing Christians. However, when broken down question by question, less than 15% even know what defines a Christian, less than half believe Jesus to be the True Son of God, the Only Way to the Father, etc. Most cannot name more than a few Bible persona and have no idea what they did, why they were in the Bible to begin with. Our so-called Christian population mirrors the public school educational system in knowledge about their faith. This is not saving faith.

This is no longer America. It will not even look that much like Europe in 2030. It will more likely be destroyed, with more of an appearance of Europe after WWII then Europe today. I think God will allow a violent nation to take out our capitol (DC) and many of the large cities will be so destroyed as to render us totally subservient to whomever that is, probably China. The rest of the country will quickly fall in line rather than be targeted. China already has bought more landscape in America than most people are aware of.
