Don’t get caught up in false nostalgia. The ‘40s through the ‘60s had an awful lot of bad in there as well. In many ways, today is a heck of a lot better, though there is still a lot of bad.

And, if nothing else, there is no longer the constant fear of nuclear war and the gigantic menace of the Soviet Union.

By 2030 it may be said in China that “if nothing else, there is no longer the constant fear of nuclear war and the gigantic menace of The United States….”
