I never really identified with the Boomers either. I am a bit older than you, but we fall into Boomer sub-group called ‘Generation Jones’:

It’s the 1954-1965 age group. I hated hippies, and can’t stand almost anything 1960’s. I identify with the 70’s (minus disco, of course! yuck!) LOL!

We are also known and the 13ers (13th American generation) as well as Gen X. I too hated all things hippie and still do. Our generation has endured the greatest upheaval in family life due to the high divorce rates and as a result we are more conservative and value our families.
Our generation will make a mark in American history, I believe we will save the Republic.
