While I found it funny and deserved, people who stand in front of a camera are not reporters. They are news readers who are usually covering nothing and are for the most part eye candy.

You know, I'm going to go against the tide here and say the reporter was out of line. What the heck did she expect to see standing out there in the middle of Bourbon Street? The drunk was good natured - yes she was interrupting a newscast but the news team should've had somebody there to stop it. That drunk was good natured enough to have gotten out of the way if she'd have been told to do so.

To me, the reporter looked like one of the mean girls in junior high.

Alright, then don't stop it. That reporter was standing there in the middle of Bourbon Street. Guess what? There are a lot of drunks walking down Bourbon Street late at night. That's not a surprise. The news team could've gotten their footage of drunks and then recorded the live portion of the broadcast elsewhere. But no, they WANTED live drunks on camera.
