As an informed adult, I feel able to separate the wheat from the chaff because I also read articles all over the internet and check Drudge many times a day for new headlines. There is NO perfect.
I'm not even familiar with most people at MSNBC, CNN, etc, and yet I see them cited all the time here on the forum - so many must watch the liberal stations!
I keep my TV on mute with caption so I see any breaking news. I never miss Special Report and I do watch O’Reilly and ‘know’ when he's ‘missing the point’, but he does have guests who confront or correct him.
I find Greta boring and Glen Beck kind of kooky, when he was on. People amaze me when they think everything MUST adhere to their own absolute - perfect views or they immediately throw them under the bus.
Those who say they get all their news here are following articles to other sites, but don't for a minute believe every comment you read on the threads. People read some comment and then repost it perpetuating the incorrect account.
Fox News is the ONLY news station that gives out the true accounts of a situation, that's why liberals hate it.
wow - How could this have been floating around for so long - and never made it to widespread attention?
I find that video particularly shocking.
Think we don’t need the second amendment? - Watch that video, then try to keep a straight face when you say that the 2A is out-of-date, or that “it” could never happen here.
Your suggestion that I “don’t like hearing another point of view” is wrong and largely irrelevant to the point I was trying to make in my post.
I am pummelled by liberal viewpoints from all sources. To call my “approach” (which I haven’t given) as “unifocal” betrays a deliberate ignorance of the state of the modern media on your part.
Music. Advertising. Radio. TV. Newspapers. Magazine. I live in the Northeast. I get it from neighbors. Co-workers. Politicians. Schools.
Shall I listen to an hour of hateful emotion-driven ignorance that comes from Rachel Maddow (which is on at 8pm) to balance off the hour of Red-Eye (which is on at 3am)? 8pm vs 3am...is that what passes for balance in your view?
Or should I listen to “Mr. Fair-and-Balanced” himself...the “wisdom” of self-promoting Bill O’Reilly. Does listening to Ted Baxter, as he tries to convince his audience that Obama isn’t a socialist in-between his book and live-appearance promotions, pass for your type of balance?
Just who do you think provides (what is your “approach”) a fair presentation of both sides of an issue? Who will save me from my “unifocal” world?
Back before I cleansed my mind of all network and cable ‘news’, I used to watch fox news.
Their motto was ‘Fair, Balanced and Unafraid’ BUT when they had that humorous segment at the end and it was a little too embarrassing for a lefty, Bret would slip in the disclaimer...”it wasn’t us”.
You hit many nails on the head my friend!
The only tv at all I actually enjoy are king of the hill reruns on Cartoon network at 9ET, and Suvivor man episodes on the science channel.
FNC is mostly all Beckel and Williams all the time. And Geraldo-— PUH LEASE. LOL who wants to watch this jackass?
Shep should def be MSNBC and BOR is a figurehead for his specific peoples/”perceived class”. Older, blue collar, low education, low historic knowledge types. They know EVERYTHING and no one gets over on their astute sense of practicality!- ahahahahah.
One of us could make millions having a real channel. I guess that is what Beck is going for..but he’s almost over the top with 0 objectivity. I am under no impression that I’m right ALL the time. I don’t nessisarily need liberal counter points, but there is plenty of room for debate still on the right, anyway.
BOR is particularly annoying. Other than the current occupant at 1600 Pennslyvania Ave, I have never seen anyone so full of himself. Notice how after O’Reilly does an interview, he does another interview asking the person how did he do in the first interview? Talk about being an egomaniac. How did I do? How did I do? So in need of approval. So arrogant and full of himself. He thinks Mitt Romney lost the election because he didn’t appear on the Factor. Now he has Dennis Kucinich on as a regular because he’s a stand up guy. I swear this guy is a cross between Ted Baxter (personality —it’s all about ME!) and Gene Hackman (looks wise—— I like Hackman think he’s very talented). But BOR is over the top with his sense of self importance. Wish we could bring back someone like David Brinkley, a true professional newsman who kept his politics to himself, was witty and didn’t take himself too seriously. I guess those days are gone. For laughs I’ll tune into Bobo’s relentless pursuit of Sasquatch, Andrew Zimmern consuming live insects, or Anthony Bourdain capping a live pig. For serious history, I tune into the Military Channel as the History Channel has really gone down hill these past few years.
I found it shocking too. It never made it to FR either. I searched FR & Google.
Here’s one that sums it up perfectly ...
~snip~ ...When the applause died down after Holders speech, we were left with a bizarre notion of government. We have this elaborate system of courts and rights governing the prosecution and punishment of citizens. However, that entire system can be circumvented at the whim or will of the president. The president then becomes effectively the lawgiver or lifetaker for all citizens. The rest becomes a mere pretense of the rule of law.
Holder was describing the very model of government the Framers denounced in crafting both the Constitution and Bill of Rights. James Madison in particular warned that citizens should not rely on the good graces and good intentions of their leaders. He noted, If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. The administration appears to have taken the quote literally as an invitation for unlimited authority for angels.
Of course, even those who hold an angelic view of Obama today may come to find the next president less divine. In the end, those guardian angels will continue to claim to be acting in the best interests of every citizen with the exception, of course, of those citizens killed by them.

There are plenty more stories at Google: “Obama’s Kill Policy”
All true. Actually, Hanity can readily counter democrat talking points - he need to have some demobulbs on that are not totally stupid, even Colmes would be a good regular guest, but not every night. Most of his guest, or contributors are like preaching to the choir types - with the few demobulbs mind numbingly stupid and unable to digress from talking points. It’s just boring at this point.
hahahah there is no history on the history channel, period.
None, all aliens and other much ridiculous stuff.
Funny you should mention aliens. On the Military Channel of which I now watch regularly, they had a program on Germany’s highly advanced and sophisticated WWII weaponry. After WWII the German scientists came here to the US. The program suggested that many UFO sightings in the 1940s and 50s were the result of new weapons and rockets and spacecraft developed by the German scientists and engineers.
After Bill Buckley's death, Rich Lowry, and most of the people he had hired, drove that website straight to the political center.
NRO was my number one go to source for Conservative analysis and commentary.
By 2008, I completely gave up on them.
I had seen the handwriting on the wall with them, but since they drove Derbyshire out for merely telling the truth using “hate facts”, they are dead to me.
Fox is better than others but still not great.
