Sen. Cruz is no Marco Rubio.

I've sat directly across a table from Ted Cruz listening to him talk four over an hour without notes to a group of about 25 local Republican activists. He's much more impressive than Rubio.

Rubio can talk, blah blah blah. Listen to what he says and read up on his views. With him one must read between the lines, as he’s so busy running circles. Look at the attention he commanded yesterday from the top three.

Cruz speaks. WE’re going to need people who are good at what dems are good at- communicating their points. Dems communicate emotional reactionism (their points).
GPOe s can’t communicate their points because their points are shallow, not in keeping with the Constitution, power hungry, wimpy, defensive and self- loathing.

Cruz takes his point, here, which is all any of them are supposed to be doing - defending the Constitution- and succintly communicates it. It is helpful that he has debating experience from academia, but he keeps it simple, which is probably what he searned there, anyway. He has one task - communicate the point - forget about any other goal or motive.

rubio was so busy schmoozing Shumer (say that 3 times fast) yesterday and going on the circuit that our heads are spinning. Even Rush had to do a double take.

From Wikip. on Cruz:

While at Princeton, he competed for the American Whig-Cliosophic Society’s Debate Panel as one of North America’s top-ranked parliamentary debaters, winning the top speaker award at both the 1992 U.S. National Debating Championship and the 1992 North American Debating Championship.[13] In 1992, he was named Speaker of the Year and Team of the Year (with his debate partner, David Panton) by the American Parliamentary Debate Association.[13] In 1991 he and his partner came in second to Austan Goolsbee and partner David Gray. Cruz was also a semi-finalist at the 1995 World Universities Debating Championship.

On Rubio:

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida in 1993, and his J.D. degree cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1996

Ted Cruz appears to be the only GOP Senator not proudly wearing a "Kick Me" placard on his back.

However, Words are not Actions, and Actions are not Results. And, timely Results separate the "doers" from the "not so much."

The singular pillar/stance of "Pro-Growth" is quite dated and overly optimistic today.

For example, China will develop it own automotive industry to supply its people. The USA is not the "only game" globally.

The Cassandras were correct on so many fronts; History repeats.

I was over a neighbor’s house where I met Ted during his primary fight. This guy is the real, honest-to-goodness red meat spokesman we need to win.

Unabashed conservative who is a fighter.

I can’t tell you how glad I am that Kay Bailey went away and we got Cruz as her replacement.

Lucky you! Listening to him in this video and another one where he was questioning Hagel was very reassuring. He's right on the money.
