Selected, not elected.
When Kerry was running for President and Romney might be appointing the successor, the law was changed to put it to a vote. When Romney was out and Dead Red Ted Kennedy needed to be replaced, the Rats needed to make sure that there were 60 Democrats in the Senate and the law was changed to select-not-elect the replacement.
The Culture of Corruption continues.

Should we just file criminal charges against him now to save time?

Mo is a placeholder until the Mass. Democrat Party anoints a candidate.
“He will serve until the June 25 special election.”

Candidates for the Senate post in the upcoming election include current Congressmen “Fast Eddie” Markey and,
it is strongly rumored, Stephen Lynch—both D. Brown also considering it tho some think he may try for Governor in 2014.

Hmmm . . .
Up to now, the only African-American in the Senate is Tim Scott, a Republican.
The Dems couldn’t let that pass, so they had to appoint one of their own. So sorry, Barney.
Just a thought.

Yes, but apparently he’s a RINO, so he should be opposed at all costs.

And by Bizarro World Calculus that’s worse than a Democrat.

My “just a thought” is any real governor would appoint himself, this shows what a weak figurehead Patrick is.

"Its massataxes, conservatives dont have a dog in the fight" No, and we never did..! That's what makes the whole thing with Romney so hard to understand....For me anyway...
But I thought McPain was also an odd choice for conservatives...
