I think it's more than likely that your parents don't speak to you anymore because they realized they raised a jerk. Maybe you should ask your parents how much they receive in SS. Then you could offer to give them that amount every month in exchange for them not taking SS.

I believe that people should be entitled to receive the exact amount they had taken out of their check. They are not entitled to the amount their employers paid in, nor are they entitled to interest. Once they receive that amount they are no longer entitled to any more. If they are poor, then they must apply for welfare.

I also believe that the age you should be able to start collecting SS should be raised to 70. This does not mean you can't retire, it just means you can't get SS payments until you are 70.

I also think we have to do something about disability. It has become a giant scam.
