“He did serve in Viet Nam in case you forgot”.
He spent FOUR MONTHS in-country. I was in SEA during this time and you had to have at least 6 months on any short tour to even get credit for the tour. In addition the decorations for valor he was awarded were all bogus. He wrote them up himself and got the “awards and decs officer” to sign off on them. Officers take care of each other. Everything about this creep makes me sick to my stomach, but without a doubt the biggest reason of all he should never be confirmed as even Sec of the Dog Pound is his flat-out lying about seeing war crimes being committed in Vietnam, and he said he participated in them. The entire Winter Soldier Hearings were proven to be bogus and nothing but a bunch of lying Vietnam-veteran wannabes (and some who had never even been in the service), trying to stir up the anti-war movement. They got their stooge and poster boy in Herman Munster “reporting for duty” Kerry. He also met with the North Vietnamese while we still had men fighting and dying. Benedict Arnold Kerry should have tried for treason years ago.
Roger that. I joined the Navy in ‘67. My dad was a career officer and I think he pulled some strings to keep me away from SEA during my enlistment. I swore an oath then and, as far as I’m concerned, it still applies today. People like the haughty john f’n kerry (and he won’t fail to remind you he was there either. “Jerk” would be an insult to jerks.) are a disgrace and now look. SecState? This is the clown that talked us down and now he’s gonna get that post. Per Steve McQueen at the end of “The Sandpebbles”: “What the hell happened?”
