Morning FRiends! Very foggy out there! To my Western Pa friends - be careful driving!
Mornin’ everybuddy!
Morning AM! Is it foggy out your way?
Geez! The ‘ladybugs’ have invaded my computer room! I’m also finding stinkbugs! A ladybug is flying around inside the lampshade and one is crawling on the desk!
It's Up Helly Aa in Lerwick Shetland Islands. This is the day the men folk there celebrate their Viking ancestors. They dress as Vikings, Drag a full sized wooden Viking ship through the town, visit hospitals and old folks homes, entertain, eat and drink, especially drink, and end up tonight burning the galley in the middle of town.
It's not just a celebration of the ancestors but a fire festival to welcome the sun back to the northern hemisphere. Think a really wild Groundhog Day.
You can watch it live...starting now... Here, Lerwick Town Center.
and espceially HERE the official webcast.
More info is Here
For me it's a milestone of the year...Spring is on the way...and here in W PA it looks like a great couple of days weather wise...except for the fog and rain, LOL!
Thick as soup!
Bought a Grace Wifi Internet radio on Woot... now I can listen to WPGB-FM on the radio.... LOL
Wow that’s cool! Love the music, but my computer is still lagging and it’s really choppy! Is that where the burning of the galley will be?
Morning skink! It’s not springtime till the groundhog says it is! lol! I live only 30 miles from Punxy but never went up there for groundhog day! Son went with friends a couple years back.
Quinn talking about Smart Meters. I got an e-mail from Indiana/Armstrong Patriots:
I received this email from Peter Sour. Please contact any Reps that are not listed in this email and let them know that you want them to co-sponsor partial repeal of Act 129 which lets the consumer choose whether to opt out of having a smart meter.
http://www.repreese.com/NewsItem.aspx?NewsID=13371
Several reps are listed as co-sponsors and should get atta’boys if they are yours.
Krieger, Saconne, Marshall, Evankovich are cited -Mustio also signed on.
Who is your rep?
Thanks and best wishes,
Peter
Those of you who are Pennsylvania Freepers - pass the word! I’m contacting my Pa Rep today!
There will be a bill to do with smart meters coming before my committee this session. (I retired from an electric distribution co-op.) We had a bill about them last year and you should have seen the assemblage of barking moonbats that came out of the woodwork on that. The only thing missing was the tinfoil hats, and those were probably only hidden away temporarily because there was no smart meter around.
Well It’s been a fun and adventurous morning here! I got in the Durango and started home but as soon as I pulled out of the lot...thankfully on a side street...something fell on my foot and I had NO STEERING!
Long story short the mechanic I took the truck to yesterday for an alignment couldn’t do the job. It would have been nice if he had put things back together or told me he didn’t. If he did I didn’t hear him.
So a bolt fell out of the sterring shaft and I was stuck. Called mrs p6 who got youngest son to come and get me. By the time he got there I had figured a work around and rigged it back together using an old aluminum fork I keep in my locker.
Went slow and made it home but it was exiciting, LOL!
Got to hear a little about the meters but I was kinda preoccupied.
Cool!
Go MacGyver!
LOL! Glad you got home safely! Wow! Thank goodness the thing fell out before you got too far!
Good morning, yinz!
I usually don’t comment on this thread because I’m typically busy getting ready for work while Quinn is on. Today, however, I gotta comment on this smart meter/Agenda 21 BS! I must admit, a lot lately gets on my nerves, bothers me, & drives me nuts, but this rattled me to the core. I’m going to listen to the podcast again tonight because this is info I want to really make sure I know all that I can about. How evil, how sick.
God help us.
Good morning n’@!
I was later this morning getting to my daughter’s house...so I got to listen to the first hour a d then some. I will visit Jerry Day’s webpage about the smart meters. I think I WILL send the certified letter and laminate (on bright orange or dayglo yellow) the NO CONSENT GIVEN to replace existing electric meter. I won’t tell PaDad...he would remove/discard any sign and then rant a d rave about my contacting utility. He doesn’t appreciate my letter writing (I have a pretty good history w/my consumer activism—is, complaints). Anyways, glad Quinn covered the story.
Fog is just now lifting in North Hills. Baby was looking at me oddly—was doing my heavy British accent (n’@!) for foggy morning:)
