I can never understand anti-semitism.
Everything I have seen about Jewish culture leads me to believe that for the most part they encourage their children to be educated because they have had to deal with a lot of hardship as a people. This leads their children to end up in good jobs because they are higher educated because they are pushed harder which leads people to envy them.
Is this the root of it?

But I'm particularly exasperated by people who look at the Mideast and see a country like Israel, whose citizens contribute far beyond their numbers in areas of science, medicine, and technology, and think they are the villains. Contrasted against Mideast Arabs many of whom are still living in the seventh century and contribute little else but murder, honor killings, and backwardness.
The envy part is right.
Well, Mormons (for example) have an insular society, are sucessful and highly educated, yet don't get the same negative reactions from those around them, so I don't think it is envy. Mormons also from what I see use their abilities to improve the society and culture they live in.
