I’ve said this on another thread and someone pooh-poohed me, but I think that obammy and his cohorts have figured that if they can’t take our guns, they’ll buy up all the ammo, and we’ll have nothing to feed our guns..........

Although the purchase contract is only slightly above average (the 1.4B order is a 5 year contract, during Bush administration they were averaging purchasing about 250M rounds per year) the fact they are making 5 year contracts instead of annual may be to cause a bottleneck in the system. Some other producers are saying it is hard getting components now to keep up with consumer demand and this is increasing that bottleneck.

A shortage of primers started in 2009 so you can imagine what it looks like now just accounting for consumer demand going through the roof.
