"With a few precincts still outstanding, Obama led the 2012 count in Fairfax by about 85,250 votes, in Prince William by about 17,400 votes and in Loudoun by 7,100 votes."

These people who are being laid off are getting exactly what they (and their neighbors) voted for. Twice. I am not a leftist, and I am not happy, but I do enjoy the rich irony inherent in this announcement. I hope someone takes out a newspaper ad and points this out to them.

Probably not ~ Department of Defense employees and contractors are located all over the country ~ Congress makes sure of that. All they have in the DC area are parts of the intelligence apparatus and the main headquarters operation (called the Pentagon).
