NEW YORK (AP) -- Faced with the high cost of caring for smokers and overeaters, experts say society must grapple with a blunt question: Instead of trying to penalize them and change their ways, why not just let these health sinners die?

Going to hit the Dim base harder than any other...many EBT folks are downright chunky and also indulge in the vices.

Lefties tend to try punishment first, then rewards.

I’m sure this will end up with us paying smokers and obese people not to smoke or be overweight.

Then they’ll pay people NOT to own guns.

AIDS/HIV is entirely preventable unlike the looser connections between diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure with obesity. It is very costly and a disproportionate amount of research dollars go into finding drugs and a cure for this preventable disease.

Instead of “shaming” AIDS/HIV patients they are protected in every way contrary to sound and long standing public policy on all other communicable diseases.

And no one ever notices.

Nothing is out there to stop me from just going underground.

I'm honestly thinking about it, along with a lot of other people.

“Those same leftists have murdered 50 million babies in the US.”

More than one in four women in the United States have had abortions.

All those women cannot be leftists.

And that can only mean that lots of women who call themselves conservatives and Christians have also had abortions.

I more of the mind of eating animal fats, vegetables, something from insects (honey), nuts (not peanuts), good bacteria (yogurt - never low or non fat), and fruits. Careful on the fruits because they can be high in fructose. When one eats like this you realize the calorie in vs calorie out is a totally fallacy.

When someone comes up with a diet that’s humane and proven to work, without a doubt someone else comes down the road and tells them they’re all washed up. That’s the biz, sweetheart.

Totally agree, but I'm not of the mind that a primitive diet isn't exactly a fad. Eating unprocessed G_d given food is definitely the way to go. How could it not be?

You sound a lot like a pious show off, quite frankly. Why the fruit and skim milk phobia? Do you think ancient peoples indulged the luxury of throwing away what was left when they skimmed cream? Don’t patronize me with this mistypography of the word God, and yes I know exactly why some very religious Jews do, and no Christian needs to follow the Pharisaical practice or ought to.
