The work of the Texas School Book Committee (whatever its formal name may be) has been terrific and one of the few really positive influences on public education in this country. The publishers can either accept revisions by Texas conservatives or forego selling their wares ANYWHERE in Texas public schools. Since the publishers are not going to publish 50 versions of a text for 50 states, Texas has thereby earned the thanks of the nation.
It is only obvious that because of folks like you, THEY will never take Texas!
God bless you and yours!

This is the exact point I have been making. If people want things to change then they have to be involved. They have to run for school boards get elected and make those changes.
I have been told countless times that the system can't be changed/fixed. Well guess what the liberals changed it, and we can change it back. But sure as shootin' it isn't by sitting in front of the computer and whining. And it D@MN sure isn't to do a bit of good P!$$!NG of the conservative public school teachers on this site by calling us names.
