Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Fox News Channel are parting ways, according to a report in Real Clear Politics. After three years as a paid contributor for the channel, FNC and the former Republican vice presidential nominee have decided to cut ties.
A source close to Palin told Real Clear Politics that it was the governors decision not to renew their contract.
*Its my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement, the source close to Palin told RCP. She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.

I doubt it. Unless she teams up with Beck, nobody will be seeing Palin.
Without media attention, she is not going to have any voice.

Oh Pffffffttttt. Just a tad bit sour and dour.
Thank you, Eska, for that perspective.
That is the way it looks to me also, here in DE.
she quit as Gov. due to the press.
eyes rolling...pffftttt!!! Someone hasn’t been missing the staff meetings it seems.
Hint: Read her first book or watch the “Undefeated” and you’ll know why she resigned her office.
Clue: It was costing her nearly $600k with no signs of letting up, then you would be sniping about something else.
Good for her. Fox has lost its edge and its relevance.
Saxby Chambliss is a no-go for 2014 (he probably saw the writing on the wall...he was gonna get seriously primaried). Wouldn’t it be sweet if Allen West moved to GA and Palin gave him an endorsement.
SWEET REVENGE AGAINST THE ESTABLISHMENT
She left FNC because she knows that it's lost its cachet with conservatives and is going Left.
She knows that Obama's policies are going to bite and people will be casting about for alternative leadership in about six months.
She knows that the people look at the Establishment GOP and see a rag tag bunch of war criminals, RINO's, and opportunists whose sole interest is ticket punching and careerism.
And this is what Sarah Palin knows about the American People:
They will be looking for someone else.
That someone else will not be Chris Christie.
Best,
Chris
Governor Palin is the most influential republican in America, the leader of the conservative movement, and the most influential endorsement in history, and doing all that while being opposed by the democrat party, the Romney/Rockefeller wing of the GOP, and the media.
I would say that she is doing something right, she has political skills and insights that are beyond measure.
While the establishment and rinos were going down in flames with Mitt Romney and the resulting disaster of the 2012 presidential race, Palin gave us our only Senate seat pick up, in Nebraska, and gave us Senator Ted Cruz.
Two words: Gifford’s shooting.
Once the MSM/blogosphere tagged her as a “murderer” conspirator, the RNC and crew ran for the tall grass. Only talk radio, her grass-roots supporters, and Alan Dershowitz (a big lib lawyer from NYC) came to help.
There was nothing to “figure a way out”. It was an inside hit job by the MSM, DNC and RNC who didn’t want the chance of her getting a foothold in the American Lexicon for bigger and better things. Did you happen to notice the snub at the 2012 convention? Ever notice the contempt the RNC brandy sniffers have for her?
This is not your father’s GOP Ditter. There’s no room for a conservative at the top anymore.
I'd love to see him run in Georgia, I am sure Cain and Boortz would go to the walls to put him over the top.
Rockerfeller is leaving as is my Putz Levin.
The old Bulls in the Senate have over-played their hand, I think their is a good chance for conservatives to take back the Senate, not the E-GOP, they suck on Ice. It will have to be us @ the Tea Party level working our asses off for victories...
I saw a phenomenon here in Michigan in 10' as to how and why the legislature and supreme court got so darned conservative. But I do not dare speak it here as to how and why it was done, no one sees it I do... I need someone like Ran Paul for 5 or 10 minutes to explain what I saw and how they need to implement it.
Can't speak it here, ya never know when the DU dweebs are lurking. :-)
The comments at that site seem to miss that she declined and reply instead that Fox got rid of her. Lots of Palin hatred there. Interesting how their hatred makes me like her. Weird.
Hers will be an important voice in the wilderness that is "flyover country" should she choose to pick some fights or join some and I'm sure she will. No wonder they hate.
I will not be surprised to see on Glen Beck’s channel.
If you don’t get by now republican moderates, and where Fox News is heading are LOSERS you never will!
The RNC went to war against Governor Palin on August 29, 2008, if not before, when she was taking on the corrupt GOP in Alaska.
Really? That's all it was, the Alaskan press? Nothing else? You're sure about that?
GOD I hope and pray you're right. I could die a happy man just seeing her Presidential inaguration.
I think so, too. There’s plenty of opportunity for an independent voice..and plenty of forums for her. She’s already made plenty of appearances at perhaps some lesser known but well-deserving causes. I can see her at CPAC, perhaps Heritage and others. Or going completely independent like Allen West and Herman Cain.
I liked seeing her on Fox, mostly with Greta, Megyn Kelly and Hannity...but you could tell that on several occasions, she seemed somewhat uncomfortable..stifled. I think she’s done the right thing. Again.
I always saw Palin as the conservative populist conduit to re-capturing the old Reagan Democrat coalition, someone who tapped into that for the GOP, for the first time in decades. A political dynamo, who still had people at bookstores waiting out in line for hours during the night and in freezing temperatures, two years after the election. But, the GOP leadership opted to join with the scum in the media to trash both her and the tea-party, clearing the path for the Rove/Romney/Priebus crowd and the corrupt beltway elites. I predict that decision will come to haunt the GOP more than it will ever realize.
