Is there a statute of limitations on treason?

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) said if confirmed as the next Secretary of State, he would support making the United States a party to a United Nations convention that has been repeatedly used to advocate for abortions, oppose restrictions and support government funding across the globe.
The treaty, the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), was signed by President Jimmy Carter in 1980 but has never been ratified by the Senate.
During Thursdays confirmation hearing in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) asked, You have been a supporter of CEDAW before, the Convention to Eliminate All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. I know its a tough issue here. I dont think it should be, but it is. I just want to make sure you continue to support the ratification. Kerry said he would support this and other treaties. The answer is yes, Kerry told Boxer.

Like, as if, he would care. He is Catholic only when it suits his purposes.
Discrimination Against Women...NOT to include Female Fetuses.
Scrape them out quickly. Stick those scissors into their skulls, suck out the brains, collapse the skull so that they can be pulled out and thrown in the nearest trash can.
THEN, tell us about the “War On Women”, ok?
Start watching for the “fly invasion” of John Kerry’s face soon.
He stinks of death, as all democrats do.
I seriously doubt it would get even a majority in the Senate much less a 2/3rd super-majority.
I love honesty.

Is there a statute of limitations on treason?
No such statute of limitations in the USA.
Of course, last decade, the liberals were all talking about same in reference to Bush, Cheney and other “neocons” they didn’t like, no matter whether they were treasonous or not.
And of course, the liberals worked feverishly to try to gloss over Kerry’s acts therein.
It bothers me more that not one Republican has the cajones to bring up the fact that Kerry undeniably committed treason, in a time of war, while a fully commissioned Naval officer.
Given the too-close resemblance of today’s Republicans to liberal Democrats, it doesn’t surprise me that the majority are silent, but I do confess that I’m surprised that even the nominally conservative ones, as few as they are (including the nominal Tea Party candidates) are also silent.
Fifty-Seven varieties of Heinz sauce for the President’s Fifty-Seven state abortion rights gander. Hey. Hillary changed her name too but not during a Presidential campaign. So did Howie Dean’s wife do the name changing gig. Toast those baby’s with Heinz baby food jars, Senator.

Is there a statute of limitations on treason?
Jimmy Carter compounded the treason by pardoning all offenses that were committed with regards to the Vietnam war soon after he took office in 1977. However if you read paragraph 3 of the 14th amendment closely, you will find that technically a presidential pardon is irrelevant with regards to holding federal office. In fact it requires that he should have had to have both the House and Senate vote with a 2/3rds vote to allow him to hold any office federal, state, or local. Technically, Kerry isn't even eligible to be a dog catcher.

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
i would vote for Kerry’s wife before I would vote for him.
Why is it so important to them to destroy life? Can it really be all about pleasing a constituency?
There is only one explanation for the absolute frenzy that the subject of abortion creates... it begins with an "S", ends with an "N", and has "ATA" in the middle.
Wow! Thank you for that. I don’t think I had ever heard about Carter’s pardon and it has been a long time since I have given that section of the Constitution any consideration.
