Ruger Mini-14 Tactical Rifle M–14/20CF ...

So I can order a Mini-14/20GBCP Tactical ... or a Mini-14/20P Ranch Rifle ... which are the exact same rifles except they don't look scary.

beat me to it, but yeah, the mini 14 is an odd case.

i dont get the fear of black plastic. how does that do anything?

Remember the 1968 Gun Control law? It banned the import of army surplus 5 shot bolt action rifles.

Police rifles of the same make were a-OK because they weren’t “military issue”.
