I remember 10 years ago when used Mini-14’s and Ranch Rifles could be found in the $300-$350 range. I have seen them recently for $900 (about what used M1A’s used to be). It has gotten crazy!

Unlike AK-style rifles, an original (un-modified) SKS Carbine has a non-detachable 10-round box magazine.

Most SKS’s I’ve seen have detachable 30 (36?) round magazines, bayonet lugs (sometimes even a bayonet!) and maybe even a flash suppressor. Wish I had one!
***So I can order a Mini-14/20GBCP Tactical ... or a Mini-14/20P Ranch Rifle ... which are the exact same rifles except they don’t look scary.****
Remember the 1968 Gun Control law? It banned the import of army surplus 5 shot bolt action rifles.
Police rifles of the same make were a-OK because they weren’t “military issue”.

Odd omission, but I guess they aren’t worried about them anymore. The SKS was the extra-special target of the ‘94 AWB and later import bans. Try getting one at a reasonable price today.
DF should have saved time by published the list of un-banned guns it would have been a lot f*ckin’ shorter!
